Title printed in red and black. 34 engraved double-page maps, all with outline coloring except the city maps (world map torn and a bit chipped along fold, "A New Map of America" parted along fold, other short tears, chips, some light browning). Contemporary reverse calf (binding defective). Provenance: D.M. Saldus? (inscription dated 29 February 1936 on pastedown).
The map of Louisiana and the Mississippi River are dedicated to William Law. "Chiefly interesting for the copiousness of its information concerning America, which is illustrated by seven immense maps" (Sabin 79124). Sold as a collection of plates, not subject to return.
