Paris, 1776, with the charge and import marks of Jean-Baptiste Fouache 1774-1780, four-lettered maker's mark indistinct
Circular gold box, the independent cover, sides and base inset with finely painted fixé-sous-verre miniatures depicting Arcadian landscapes, the gold mounts stamped with a ribbon-twist border flanked by flutes, the four side dividers chased in two-colour gold with pilasters hung with husks
