Levels: two bottom neck or better, one very top & one just below top shoulder. One capsule corroded, bin-soiled labels.
Although not tasted for over a year, it sticks in my mind like it was yesterday. The 1959 Latour is without question one of the greatest wines that this Château has ever produced. A strong clean mature color; soft clean and frangrant nose with light plummy fruits. Big & strong on the palate, classic Latour weight, lovely rich penetrating old currant fruit, dry and very, very, very long. A staggering effort, truely profound and with years of drinking pleasure still. DW
