This collection brings to market a small portion of a much larger collection, that has been put together from some of the best sources across the globe.
There are many highlights, but it is perhaps the stunning group of red Burgundy that stands out most. From 1953 to 1998, over 150 lots of the "best of the best", all formats, all the great vintages and representative of the most sought-after producers of the region.
The white Burgundy is equally impressive, almost entirely Grand Cru in its make up and largely in original cases.
Outside of Burgundy, mature sweet wines from Gaston Huet in Vouvray star alongside an enticing group of rare Rhône bottlings and rare full case quantities of Vega Sicilia, Unico from mature vintages.
Super Italians and the lusciously, sweet Trockenbeerenausleses of Alois Kracher complete an exceptional collection.
Acquired primarily on commercial release and from the most assured sources, these wines have been stored ever since in a dedicated commercial facility maintaining temperature and humidity controlled storage.

Still a deep rich red color, just starting to show slight signs of
maturity. Lovely aromas, soft velvety currants, lingers beautifully:
Simply gorgeous on the palate; oceans of fruit burst forth, so much
power, hugely structured yet so balanced, refined; rich currants,
hints of ripe prune, very long finish. Wonderful now, but still has
time on it's side. DW
