The case with brass handle to the inverted bell top, arched glazed viewing apertures to the sides, on a stepped plinth base, the dial with silvered engraved ring in the arch with strike/silent plaque below, silvered chapter ring with pierced black-painted hands, the matted centre with calendar and mock pendulum apertures, the five pillar twin gut fusee movement with verge escapement, quarter chiming on six bells via six hammers, with hour strike on further bell, pull repeat, the backplate engraved with scrolling foliage with central male figure flanked by two male figures, with pendulum holdfast, the plaque in the arch replaced, the quarter bells later - 44cm. high x 26.5cm. wide x 17.5cm. deep; And a later ebonised console - 25cm. high 31cm. wide x 18cm. deep (2)
