A French ormolu striking mantel clock
Second half 19th Century
The circular white-enamelled Roman and Arabic dial indistinctively signed, within a drumcase containing the movement with silk-suspended pendulum and outside countwheel, flanked by a female maiden to one side and a floral vase to the other side, above a rectangular bas with lobed ends, above a spreading plinth with acanthus, on a spreading giltwood plinth with rockwork feet
