AN ETRUSCAN BRONZE FIGURE OF A DISCOBOLUS
Circa Early 4th Century B.C.
The slender athlete depicted nude, striding forward on his left leg, his foot turned out, his right leg relaxed and bent at the knee, the heel raised, his lowered arms held out away from his body, gripping the discus in the palm of his right hand, his head turned to his left, his short cap-like hair with punched curls
