Perhaps originally from the base of a seated statue and subsequently reworked into a mortar, carved in sunk relief, one edge with clear traces of queen Nefertiti's cartouche and the remains of a two-feathered headdress belonging to her now-lost image, another edge with an inscription in hieroglyphic text identifying her as "the great wife of the king," "given life eternally"
