Engraved portrait frontispiece and 59 plates, maps, charts and plans only (of 62), folding table. (A few short tears at folds of folding charts, B1 in vol. one and I4 in vol. II torn without loss, occasional spotting, browning and mainly marginal waterstaining). Contemporary tree calf (worn, re-inforced at inner hinges). Provenance: Sir Charles Rowley (early signature on titles); later pencil note on front free endpaper of vol. one regarding acquisition.
