An Illustrated Record of Important Events in the Annals of Europe, London: T. Bensley for R. Bowyer, 1815. Volumes I-II only (of 3). 2° (490 x 348mm.). One engraved map, one plate of portraits, plate reproducing signatures and 19 hand-coloured aquatint plates, several folding, Bowyer's Address to his Subscribers tipped in at beginning of vol. one. Original boards with printed label (spines very slightly damaged), uncut.

A subscriber's copy with an ALs, pasted to the inside of the front cover of volume II, by Bowyer to William Mason, dated 18 December 1817, sending Mason the third part (The Campaign of Waterloo, not present here) and presenting his bill for three pounds. On the facing page there is another letter tipped in from W. Ramsay to Lt Col. William Mason informing the latter that the East India Company have acceded to his request to retire from the service.
