Basle: Birmann & Huber, 1819. 4° (275 x 215mm.). 45 hand-coloured engraved plates by Johann Christian Reinhard only (of 46, lacks plate 14), some heightened with gum arabic. (Occasional spotting and mainly marginal staining and browning, plates 18, 19, 26, 28 and 40 stained with some smudging of colours). Contemporary red half morocco gilt (rubbed and stained, corners bumped). Provenance: John Salmond and J. Earnford (early signatures on front free endpaper), early manuscript caption to plate 17.
Colas 2528: "L'édition définitive et complète ... La date des tirages est relativement peu importante, puisque ce tirage est masqué sous un colori fortement gouaché et très délicat"; cf. Lipperheide 903.
