Beautified with sundry Prospects of the Church, Figures of Tombes, and Monuments, London: Thomas Warren, 1658. 2° (340 x 215mm.). Engraved portrait frontispiece of William Dugdale, title printed in red and black, 43 engraved plates or illustrations, some double-page or folding. (Stain at head of frontspiece and title, occasional light spotting and staining mainly at margins). Contemporary speckled calf (joints split, rubbed and scuffed).

FIRST EDITION. Brunet II, 868; Lowndes II, p.689: "First edition, valued on account of containing better impressions of the plates, several of which (nos. 5, 6, 9, 11) were lost and re-executed for the later edition by an inferior artist"; Wing D2491. With a 1716 edition of the same work. (2)
