The Panorama of The Thames from London to Richmond, Exhibiting every Object on both Banks of the River, with a concise description of the most remarkable places, and a General View of London, London: Samuel Leigh, [ca. 1824]. Oblong 2° (242 x 340mm.). 2 very long continuous hand-coloured aquatint strip panoramas of the Thames, the first from London to Richmond, measuring 210 x 17,800mm. (A few spots, a few joins with short tears, one section detached, 2 joins with repairs to the verso), the second a "General View of London from the Adelphi", measuring 227 x 1,727mm. (One modern repair to verso of first join, a few spots). Each folding into separate cloth compartments with flaps and coloured title labels, original green cloth-covered boards, engraved label on upper cover within decorative border printed in blue and black (lacking spine, extremities rubbed, a few scuff marks).
With the rare text volume, John Clark's Description of the Most Remarkable Places between London and Richmond. Intended to Accompany the Panorama of the Thames (London, ca. 1824, in pink wrappers). Abbey Life 494: "The text is rare, and usually missing"; Prideaux p. 270.
