(19 plates slightly shaved at the fore-margin with minute loss of image in a very few cases, frontispiece very lightly stained, one plate a little spotted). Modern half calf with the original 18th-century spine preserved.
FIRST EDITION of this fine practical work on gardening, edited by 'Sir' John Hill. Hill brought out another edition under his own name in 1773. Nissen BBI 880; Henrey 776.
