A French bronze bust of Diderot, late 18th or early 19th century
Modelled in classical drapery, head to slightly to sinister, on intergral socle inscribed DIDEROT -- 6½in. (16.6cm.) high; and a pair of Chinese export terracotta turquoise glaze buddihistic lions mounted as gilt metal candlesticks, probably first half 19th century, with foliate clasped nozzles and conforming drip-pans, issuing from leafy branches on scrolling rectangular bases -- 3¾in. (9.5cm.) wide (5)
