the sides with applied stylised foliate motif, the base and cover with applied tortoiseshell plaque, the cover with inset gold cartouche with engraved crest, the box opening to reveal a secret inner compartment containing two painted oval miniatures of a lady and gentleman and an extensive presentation inscription -- 8.4cms.
