A wood netsuke of a grazing horse
19th Century
carved standing four-square with its head bent down grazing, on a shaped base incised Karyo signature to base -- 1 5/8in. (4.1cm.) wide; and another wood netsuke of Bukkan Zenshi sitting beside his tiger, wearing long flowing robes, holding a flywhisk and beads, inlaid himotoshi and ivory tablet to base signed Etsu -- 1½in. (3.8cm.) high, (old wear).
