An ivory netsuke of a stylised bat
Late 19th Century
carved with a smiling expression, inlaid eyes and scale pattern on its back, incised Godo signature to back -- 1½in. (3.8cm.) wide; and another ivory netsuke of a rat in the form of a coiled rope, inset eyes and an articulated worm to the side, insiced Bishu signature to the underside -- 2in. (5.1cm.) long, (minor wear).
