A wood netsuke of a shishi
19th Century
carved standing with its head raised facing upwards, on an oval base -- 1½in. (3.8cm.) high; a wood netsuke of a seated hare, finely incised hairwork and inset eyes -- 1¾in. (4.4cm.) wide; and another wood netsuke of a crab on a lotus pod -- 2in. (5.1cm.) wide, (old wear).
