An ivory netsuke of a rat
18/19th Century
laying down holding onto a chestnut and turned facing the rear, horn inlaid eyes -- 1¾in. (4.5cm.) wide; and another ivory netsuke of a gama sennin seated wearing long robes with a toad seated on his shoulder, incised Masatomo signature to reverse -- 1½in. (3.9cm.) high, (small chip to one ear on rat).
