A boxwood netsuke of a professional sneezer
18/19th Century
seated cross-legged holding an ivory pick in his right hand, his head raised and looking up with mouth wide open, signed Gyokkei on a rectangular ivory tablet to base -- 1½in. (3.8cm.) wide; and another wood netsuke of a blind man attempting to lift a large rock, one eye inlaid in ivory, signed Gyokkei on a rectangular ivory tablet to the base -- 1 3/8in. (3.5cm.) high, (minor wear).
