the caparisoned elephant turned facing the side, the details in silver and gold with ivory tusks, the rug draped over its back decorated with ho-o, the globular koro and cover decorated with three shaped panels depicting a kannon, Luo Hai and his three-legged toad and a scholar in exterior scenes, the details in silver and gold -- 12 1/8in. (30.8cm.) high, (rubbing).
