A large pair of inlaid bronze vases
Meiji Period
of baluster shape, the handles with bearded oni-head terminals, each decorated in gold and silver with samurai warriors on feet and horseback in rocky landscapes beneath pine trees, the reverse with peonies and irises amongst reeds, the neck with scrolling floral designs, all between key-fret and stiff leaf bands -- 22in. (56cm.) high, (rubbing).
