Edo Period (18th Century)
with moulded rope-twist rims, decorated in underglaze blue, iron-red enamels and gilt, each showing a boat alongside a pavilion beneath blossoming branches, all within a band of flowerheads, leafy fronds to the undersides -- 11in. (28cm.) diam. (areas of rubbing).
