A pair of large Japanese baluster vases
Meiji Period
with widely flaring necks, painted in brightly coloured enamels and gilt with numerous cranes amongst pine, chrysanthemums and rockwork, set within formal borders of lotus cartouches to the feet and alternating panels of stylised dragons and brocade balls to the necks -- 31¾in. (80.6cm.) high, (one with damage to the neck).
