A Takatori and a Satsuma Chaire
Edo Period (17th Century)
The Takatori chaire with globular body and comparatively tall neck, the thick olive and brown-black glaze finishing some way above the base; the Satsuma chaire of double-gourd form with lustrous brown-black glaze over a duller brown glaze
