The interior and underside of hardwood, all the other external surfaces covered in ivory pieces imitating a woven garden fence, the lid with two quails in stained ivory surrounded by peonies in gold and aokin lacquer, stained ivory and shell, the sides with chrysanthemum, plantain, vetch and Chinese bellflower, slight old damage
