Mark of John Wakelin and William Taylor, London, 1786
Circular, with reeded wirework sides and plain circular base on collet foot, with reeded rim and rope-twist swing handle, the base engraved with a crest within Garter motto and with viscount's coronet above, marked on base, the base engraved with scratchweight '36=1'
10 1/8in. (25.8cm.) diam.
35oz. (1,095gr.)
The crest is for Thomas, 2nd Viscount Weymouth K.G. (1734-1796), later created 1st Marquess of Bath in 1789.
