Mark of John Wakelin and William Taylor, London, 1787
Circular, with reeded border and plain sides, the interior fitted with dividers forming three sections, the detachable slightly domed cover with urn-shaped floral finial, with turned wood handle, the body and cover each engraved with a crest within Garter motto and with viscount's coronet above, marked on base and cover bezel
10in. (26cm.) diam.
gross 63oz. (1,969gr.)
The crest is for Thomas, 3rd Viscount Weymouth later 1st Marquess of Bath (1734-1796).
