Mark of IT, probably for John Touliet, London, 1791, supplied by John Wakelin and William Tayler
Oblong with upturned plain sides, with three reeded bottle holders, fitted with detachable plain cylindrical inkpot, pen-holder and coverd pot, each with reeded mid-rib and border, the covers and bodies each engraved with a crest within Garter motto with marquess' coronet above, tray engraved with a coat-of-arms with Garter motto and with marquess' coronet above, marked on base of tray, pots and covers, the base of tray also engraved with scratchweight '55=5'
