19th century, bearing Amsterdam town mark and maker's mark IK
Slightly tapering cylindrical, on reeded silver-gilt base,the ivory body carved with a frieze of putto as musicians playing various instruments and singing, an acanthus band above, the flat hinged cover chased with a tavern scene, with beaded border, foliage-capped scroll handle and small shell-shaped thumbpiece, marked on cover
