A FINE EXHIBITION STANDARD STATIC DISPLAY 1:100 SCALE MODEL OF THE U.S. SLAVER BRIG OURAGAN (1830)
modelled by J.L. Gonzalez with two tapering masts, yards with stun's'l booms and foot ropes, gaff and boom, standing and running rigging with scale blocks, dolphin striker, metal anchors with bound wooden stocks, catheads, belaying rails and pins, bitts, deck rings, gratings, capstan, cleats, four cannon on rigged carriages, hatches, cabin lights, companionway, three ship's boat's in davits with bottom boards, thwarts and oars, binnacle, tiller and other details. The finely planked and pinned hull with rudder is finished in wax and mounted on two turned brass columns on a display base legend and wood-bound plexi-glas cover with finials. Overall measurements -- 18½ x 24½in. (47 x 62cm.)
