A FINE COPY of a work that transformed the late 16th-century Venetian tradition for small woodcut costume books to a copperplate medium and grand folio format. The well-executed plates include an excellent series on Turkish and Greek costume after Francis Smith. Brunet V, 1212: 'fort peu répandu en France'; Colas 3007; Lipperheide Ac9; Vinet 2106.
