A Pair of Victorian silver-plated five-light candelabra
Mark of Elkington and Co., circa 1870
The shaped base with four fluted stud feet, the base cast and chased with putti, floral garlands and grotesque masks, all on a matted ground, the stems each formed as a standing putto, his arms held above his head supporting the shaped knop and scroll branches, each terminating in a male mask, circular drip-pan and socket with detachable nozzles, with similar central light, marked on bases and stamped ELKINGTON & CO and with concordance number 15958
