Partly-fluted bucket-shaped, on circular foot, with reeded ribbon-tied borders, a beaded border above the fluting, the two drop-ring handles with ram's mask terminals, engraved twice with a coat-of-arms within foliate scroll cartouche, marked on base and engraved with scratchweight '61"19'

The arms are those of Meynell quartering Littleton and Poyntz, impaling Boothby quartering Scrimshaw for Hugo Meynell Esq. (1735-1808), of Quorndon, co. Leicester and his second wife Anne (d.1815), daughter of Thomas Boothby Scrimshaw Esq., of Tooley Park, co. Leicester, whom he married in 1758. Hugo Meynell was master of the King's stag-hounds and M.P. for Lichfield from 1762 until 1768. He was also Member for Lymington from 1769 to 1774 and the Member for Stafford until 1778. He was a celebrated huntsman and founded the Quorn Hunt.
