One with year cypher for 1888, puce globe and impressed marks, shape 1013
With bud finials and richly gilt upright wreath and ribbon handles, one decorated by Lawrence Birks, the other by Arthur Morgan, both signed, with vignettes of classical figures on a terracotta coloured ground, within grey rectangular panels, each reverse with a panel, one with caryatids flanking an incense burner the other with similar figures supporting a basin, the pale-ivory-ground with pale-blue pâte-sur-pâte scrolling foliage and pendant ornament and raised gilt leaves and flowers (the Morgan vase with very small chips to handles, each with flaking to the gilding)
