A RARE BLUE-GLAZED BOWL AND COVER
Underglaze-blue Yongzheng six-character marks and of the period (1723-35)
The bowl with steep sides rising to a flaring rim and moulded around the widest part with two raised bands, the white-glazed interior inscribed with the nianhao within a double circle, the shallow domed cover surmounted by an archaistic bird finial and inscribed on the white-glazed underside with a second unenclosed nianhao, the exterior all under a dark even blue glaze stopping neatly around the foot
7 3/8 in. (18.5 cm.) diam.
