A MING CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL TRIPOD CENSER
Cast Jingtai four-character mark (1450-56), the body 15th century, the rim possibly 16th century
The censer with gilt-bronze animal-mask handles, raised on short pad feet, decorated with scrolling peony on a deep turquoise ground below a band of meandering foliage on a paler turquoise border at the rim, minor pitting and infill, one leg replaced
7¾ in. (19.7 cm.) wide, wooden stand
