A BRONZE ARCHAISTIC TRIPOD VESSEL, JUE
Chenghua bingwu year corresponding to 1487 and of the period
The vessel with a broad pouring rim, two lifting posts and 'C'-shaped handle issuing from an animal head, raised on three triangular-section legs, cast with a shallow-relief diaper band around the body, the underside of the lip with an inscription reading 'Set up by Zhong Gang, the Affairs Supervisor of Zhizeng county', and signed 'Bai Cheng in the bingwu year of the Chenghua reign'
