A HUANGHUALI TABLE-TOP CHEST, GUANPIXIANG

The flat-topped cover above a pair of book-matched panelled doors with a well-figured whorling grain pattern, the interior set with an upper tray above a central large drawer surrounded by five smaller drawers and one lower rectangular drawer, the sides set with rectangular handles, the top with ruyi-head corner mounts adjoining the rectangular corner pieces and the square hinges, the face plate flush with the door and set with hu-shaped pulls
