SECOND HALF OF THE 18TH CENTURY
Woven with a paradisical scene depicting Shoulao and the Eight Immortals with their respective attributes accompanied by attendants, forming groups engaged in leisurely pursuits, riding cloud swirls, boating or on pavilion terraces and mountain valleys, the diagonal composition accentuated by a large gnarled pine tree entwined with large fruiting peachtree rising between rocky ledges from the right lower corner towards the left, all predominantly in ranges of cream, blue and green tones on a pale orange-brown ground
