AN UNUSUAL FAMILLE ROSE CRESTED AND MONOGRAMMED RECTANGULAR TRAY
Circa 1810
With shallow sides and canted corners raised on shallow bracket feet, the interior enamelled at the centre with the motto SPERO MELIORA above a crest and monogram S, surrounded by insects and delicate fruit and floral sprays, the border with a wide band of six cartouches depicting shoals of carp and minnows, exotic birds, farmers attending pigs and sheep, and other agricultural scenes
