The rectangular eared leather-lined top above a central frieze drawer, flanked by two short drawers to one side and one deep drawer fitted with a coffre-fort to the other side, the rounded corners with stop-fluting, leather-lined writing-slides to both sides and faux drawers to the reverse, on turned tapering fluted legs and toupie feet, stamped 'F.I. PAPST' and 'JME', the underside with later, strengthening metal supports and with consequential restorations to the top of the legs
