1954 ASX-I Concept Vehicle - A designer's rendering by Kenneth Spencer, Jr. for a futuristic concept vehicle in three "hulls" similar to the Atmos. Kenneth Spencer, Jr. spent his entire working career at Ford Motor Company, 1949-1982. Along with Jim Sipple, he designed the Mini-Max concept offered in this sale. He also was responsible for the exterior design of the Edsel. This framed rendering is a reproduction and a copy is also hanging in the Ford Design Center and Ford Motor Company World Headquarters in Dearborn. 37" x 47"
1962 Advanced Styling Rendering of a Futuristic Car - A designer's rendering for an advanced concept vehicle featuring bullet-shaped side pods, sharply inclined rear fins and canopy roof. 1954 Advanced Styling Rendering of a Futuristic Car - A designer's rendering by Bud Ward for an advanced concept apparently intended for wheel-less support using hovercraft principles with turbojet-style outboard pods. Bud Ward was a studio designer at Ford Motor Company where he worked on the Bimini concept which featured doors and windshield in a single assembly that swung upward from the cowl. He also worked on 1957's Midshipman concept, a rear engined design also with novel front hinged entry. This framed rendering is a reproduction and a copy is also hanging in the Ford Design Center and Ford Motor Company World Headquarters in Dearborn. 37" x 47" (3)
