Dry in July and August, concentrating the crop, but enough rain to swell the grapes in time for picking in warm weather from September 14. A record crop of high-quality wine and a huge crop of notes to match, most being made in the 1960s. Wonderful wines and, if good to begin with and kept well, affording continuing pleasure." GVWBII
