signed 'A.Rodin' (on the lower left thigh)
bronze with green patina
4 3/8 in. (11.2 cm.)
This cast is also known as 'torse de la main de Rodin' and was first cast as a complement to Rodin's right hand, moulded by Paul Cruet in 1917, three weeks before his death. It was later cast on its own in an edition of 12 by Georges Rudier.
