A pair of ivory kid shoes, the toe and vamp embroidered in metal thread and with sequins, with drawstring and white kid rand, no heels, 1840s; another pair of ivory satin (part removed), the toe embroidered in metal thread, with sequins and a red paste, with pointed toe and red kid vamp, no heel, mid 19th century; a pair of brown silk lady's shoes, the vamp embellished by a bow and sequin and metal thread decoration, with a 3in. (7.5cm.) white kid-covered heel, probably 1840s, altered later in the 19th century; another pair, similarly altered, of sky blue satin; and a single shoe of ivory figured silk, with straps for a buckle, with 4¾in.
