A fan by a Cambridge Caricaturist, the leaf painted with a trompe l'oeil of five caricature watercolours and six further vignettes including a caricature of an Elizabethan figure, possibly Queen Elizabeth I on a pantomine horse, wearing a bird masque with a fan tied to the horse's tail and a stick, the bamboo sticks pierced, the guardsticks, the guardsticks carved with birds and flowers - 10in. (29 cm.), English, late 18th century, the sticks contempory and possibly Chinese export - in contemporary English fan box; and two other fans, one painted with trompe l'oeils of watercolours, a fan, a bonnet, music and ribbons, the other with Vesuvius errupting by night - both late 18th century (3)
