Venus in Vulcan's forge, a fan, the leaf painted with Vulcan making a set of armour for Aeneas, the verso with flowers, the ivory sticks carved and pierced with gentlemen, swans, dolphins and shells and painted with an English man of war and two sailors with a dinghy and a barrel on a quay in the foreground, the reserves painted with shells and coral - 28cm., English, circa 1750 (guardsticks repaired, pin replaced, verso repainted)
