A French relief carved coquilla nut snuff box in the 'Romayne' style, early 19th century
of rectangular form, the metal hinged cover depicting a squabbling figure group, the underside illustrating two soliders, one spearing a dragon, another receiving a kneeling maiden, the sides carved with stylised foliage -- 3½in. (9cm.) wide
